Ex-Servicemen celebrate 76th Pakistan Day in Mandi Bahauddin

Ex-Servicemen celebrate 76th Pakistan DayMandi Bahauddin(Sher Gondal) :  Pakistan Ex-Servicemen held a rally here at Committee Bagh to celebrate Pakistan Resolution Day. Besides, ex-servicemen members of local NGOs and members of civil society participated in the rally.

Addressing the rally the speakers said it was the day that remises us struggle and sacrifices of our heroes who adopted the resolution and forced the then rulers to implement the same. With their unprecedented sacrifices Pakistan emerged as separate homeland for Muslims of South Asia.

Paying tributes Pakistan movement leaders, they said this is the day we should review our performance and see whether objectives of creation of Pakistan have been achieved and if not what were the reasons of our failure. Expressing dissatisfaction over the prevailing situation in the country they termed corruption and terrorism as the main hurdle in their way to make Pakistan as it was envisioned by our Quad Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Alama Iqbal.

They urged ex-servicemen to unite on PESS platform to fight against these two monsters of Corruption and terrorism in order to restore peace and rule of law in our homeland. This was the best way to pay homage to creators of Pakistan.

The ex-servicemen also demanded of government to implement “one rank one pension” policy and establish DASB at Mandi Bahauddin to facilitate pensioners and their widows in solving their matters relating to pension and other welfare issues. In this respect they unanimously passed a resolution under which ex-servicemen would arrange an anti corruption rally to create awareness among the public.

Members of civil society and local NGOs including SAHAR and Peace Foundation leadership would also be invited to join this movement.
