Lahore: Chairman Punjab IT Board Dr Umar Saif has said that the Pakistan Resolution Day has reminded us how to unite and achieve a gigantic goal by defeating clever and powerful opponents. He was addressing Pakistan Day ceremony held at Arfa Software Technology Park (ASTP) as chief guest on Tuesday. The event was arranged jointly by the PITB and Peaceful Pakistan. Director General (IT Operations) Faisal Yousaf was also present along with hundreds of employees of PITB, IT University and ASTP gathered outside the building.
The event was coloured with the national anthem and patriotic songs that instilled a fresh zeal of nationalism. Dr Saif recited a poignant poem of the renowned poet Faiz Ahmad Faiz pronouncing the message of peace, harmony and dignity. He said “today again we need same zeal and emotion that stirred up the nation to break the shackles of slavery but this time to defeat the monster of terrorism. After 75 years, once again we resolve to make Pakistan a peaceful country by eliminating all terrorists from the motherland. Today even our children have posed a strong resistance against the bullet and bomb. Obviously Pakistan was obtained after many sacrifices so it will remain as a free and strong Islamic state until the last day Insha Allah.” Commemorating the sacrifice of the fearless heroes of Pakistan Movement and pondering upon the words of Quaid-e-Azam, Dr. Saif urged the youth to unite as one nation to work for the prosperity of Pakistan. He encouraged the attendees to make significant contribution to the cause of Peaceful Pakistan through their respective fields of work.
The passionate crowd chanting the slogans of ‘Peaceful Pakistan’ and ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ displayed true spirit of patriotism.
