A melodious tribute paid to Pakistan at GCU

Vice Chancellor GC University Lahore Prof Dr Hassan Amir ShahLahore: The melodious voices from different universities and colleges Tuesday expressed their love for their country at the All Punjab National Songs Competition organised by the Government College University Lahore in connection with the Pakistan Day under the auspices of Punjab Higher Education Department at the Alhamra Hall No. 3.

The Punjab Education Minister Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan was the chief guest at the prize distribution ceremony while the Vice Chancellor GC University Lahore Prof Dr Hassan Amir Shah played host.

Among female students, Nimra Roy of Kinnaird College was adjudicated the Best Signer of national songs, while Sabiha Afzal of Lahore College for Women University and Komal Mirza of GCU secured the second and third positions respectively.

In Boys category, Usama Babar of GCU clinched the first position, while Ghufran Chisiti of Punjab University and Qaim Ali of University of Lahore were declared second and third respectively.
