The pro-west rulers are destroying our family system:Hafiz Idrees

Lahore: Deputy chief of the Jamaat e Islami, Hafiz Muhammad Idrees, has said that the pro-west rulers of the country were bent upon destroying our family system. He was addressing the Women members of the JI Central Shoora at Mansoora on Sunday.

Hafiz Muhammad Idrees said that the concept of a family had been wiped out in the west. He said that the law passed by the Punjab Assembly in the name of women protection was highly shameful and a step towards destruction of Islamic values.

He said that Islam had given respect and security to the women folk but the rulers were out to pit the women against their male members as would ruin the family system which was the foundation of a strong Islamic social set up as compared to the free and liberal western society. He said that no respectable man or woman would accept such laws.

The JI deputy chief said that Islam was the true religion which gave a complete code of life to humanity. A Muslim society protected its moral values and sanctity of the family was the essence of Islam. He said that a true Muslim would not usurp the rights of others out of fear of Allah. Islam also attached great importance to the rights of neighbours. Similarly, the rights of the spouses, children and the elders were also a part of the Islamic teachings.
