Lahore Garrison University will soon be converted into public university:Rana Mashhood

Lahore: Provincial Minister for Education Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan has said that Lahore Garrison University will soon be converted into public university. He said that concrete measures are being taken for faculty and other educational needs of the university. He said that Education Department is providing huge funds for Lahore Garrison University through Punjab Higher Education Commission.

He expressed these views while talking to Vice Chancellor Major General ® Ubaid Bin Zikria during his visit to Lahore Garrison University. He also inspected various departments of the university.

Addressing the faculty members and the students, Rana Mashhood Ahmed said that Provincial Education Department is ensuring quality education at university level. He said that government is making efforts for improving the status of Pakistani Universities at international ranking and financial assistance and other facilities are being provided to the universities of public and private sectors for this purpose.

The Provincial Minister said that permission had been given for setting up sub-campuses of  various universities for the promotion of Higher Education and, besides improving governance, these campuses are being converted into useful institutions.
