Najam Ahmed Shah visits kidney center, burn center, regional blood center and drug testing laboratory Multan

Lahore: Secretary Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education Najam Ahmed Shah visited kidney center, burn center, regional blood center and drug testing laboratory Multan, today. He inspected regional blood center completed recently. Secretary Health directed to take immediate steps for making kidney center constructed for kidney patients functional at the earliest. He said that the officers should take personal interest for completing public welfare projects.

Najam Ahmed Shah gave one month period for completing minor civil works, installation of medical equipments and checking of central air-conditioning center (HVAC) at burn center. He directed that the entire work should be completed in a month and report be submitted.

Secretary Specialized Healthcare visited Kidney Center Multan. He said that development projects delay due to poor planning. He directed to pay attention to the steps regarding recruitment of staff, gas supply, provision of generator and double electricity connection for kidney center. He directed that Health Department, C&W and other concerned departments should work with mutual coordination and attention be paid to the critical areas so that these projects could be made functional at the earliest.

Najam Ahmed Shah also visited Drug Testing Laboratory, Multan. He said that on the pattern of RBCs of Multan and Bahawalpur, regional blood center each will be set up at all divisional headquarters. He said that besides making RBCs functional set up at Multan and Bahawalpur, blood banks of six government hospitals of the districts of each division will also be linked with RBCs.

Najam Ahmed Shah said that he has convened the meeting in his office on Wednesday in this regard.
