Anti Polio Teams comprised upon dedicated workers: EDO Health Dr. Munir Ahmed

Mandi Bahauddin(Sher Gondal): EDO Health Dr. Munir Ahmed has said Anti Polio Teams comprised dedicated workers and people expected them to administer polio drops to children in every nook and corner and far off places in rural area including brick kilns in an effort to make the campaign successful in its true spirit.

He was addressing a meeting of anti-polio teams the other day here at his office. He said all necessary arrangements had been completed for launching anti polio campaign as per schedule issued by government. He said target set was to administer polio drops to 241838 children. And to achieve this target 656 teams had been formed and among them 556 are mobile. Total strength of the teams is 1431 persons who have been selected on the basis of their capability and efficiency. About security he said 847 security personnel had been detailed to accompany vaccination teams for their security.

He told the meeting that DCO Muzaffar Sial had strictly directed medical officers and polio teams that no child should be missed. Even children coming from neighboring districts and staying temporarily in the district would be vaccinated. DO Health Dr. Ziaullah Sadiquii, Dr. Khalid Pervaiz Khawja, DDO Dr. Shakil Iqbal Butt, Dr. Hafiz Iftikhar Ahmed, District Superintendent Vaccination Muhammad Arif Dar and Focal Person Polio Program Rafah Naheed were present on the occasion.
