Deputy Head of Mission Consular of Netherlands Ms. Renate Pors calls on Department Punjab Dr. Amna Imam

Lahore: Secretary Women Development Department Punjab Dr. Amna Imam has said that the government has taken unprecedented measures for economic empowerment and social protection of women.

She was talking to Deputy Head of Mission Consular of Netherlands in Pakistan, Ms. Renate Pors during a meeting, here today. Senior Policy Advisor on Political Affairs, Human Rights and Law, Syed Saadat Ali, Deputy Secretary Falak Sher Bhatti besides others were also present on the occasion.

Dr. Amna Imam informed Ms. Renate Pors about the measures taken by the provincial government under Women Packages. She also highlighted the importance of change in social mindset, economic progress of women, awareness programmes at union council level regarding rights of women besides monitoring, research and survey. She also told the Dutch diplomat about the steps taken with regard to celebrating International Women’s Day on March 8 and Women Package-2016.

Ms. Renate Pors appreciated the efforts of Punjab government for empowerment of women besides assured promotion of cooperation between the two countries.
