Lahore: The Governor Gilgit Baltistan and Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs Muhammad Barjees Tahir along with Director General Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) Brig. (R) Dr. Arshad Zia inaugurated Emergency Service Rescue 1122 at Tehsil Sangla Hill of District Nankana.
The Regional Emergency Officer North Riffat Zia, Regional Emergency Officer South Dr. Zafar Shah, District Emergency Officer, Nankana Muhammad Akram, Assistant Commissioner Nankana, rescuers and local residents participated in the inauguration ceremony.
The Director General Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) Brig. (R) Dr. Arshad Zia said that the Emergency Service is being established in all Tehsils of Punjab and yesterday the Interior Minister Ch. Nisar Ali Khan inaugurated Service in Tehsil Kallar Syedan District Rawalpindi on completion of building and today Federal Minister Gilgit Baltistan Muhammad Barjees Tahir inaugurated Emergency Service in already constructed building at Tehsil Sangla Hill.
He briefed that In Sangla Hill, the Emergency Service will be operate with one ambulance and seven rescuers from the building donated by party worker Mian Ijaz till completion of Rescue 1122 building in the Tehsil.
Furthermore, District Nankana will provide back up support to Tehsil Sangla Hill in case of any major emergency. Besides that Tehsil Sangla hill will be provided emergency services with two cardiac ambulances soon.
