US Consul General Zachary Harkenrider calls on Sirajul Haq

Lahore: The US Consul General at Lahore, Zachary Harkenrider called on the Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, at Mansoora, on Monday and discussed with him the situation in the region especially Afghanistan and Kashmir.

Speaking on the occasion, the JI chief stressed that the US should review its policies. He said that the challenges facing the Muslim world were increasing because of the US support to dictators like Egyptian military ruler Gen. Sisi and Bangladesh ruler Haseena Wajid. He said that peace in the world could not be restored without the grant of basic human rights and justice to the people

Meanwhile; ameer, jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, has said that a large number of Aziz Balochs were sitting in the assemblies and national institutions who had usurped the rights of the masses and were denying them pleasures of life.
Talking to the media at the residence of former Lahore Mayor Mian Aamir Mehmud here on Monday, he said that these people had been deciding the fate of the masses during the last 69 years and it was time that indiscriminate action was initiated against them. He offered his condolences to Mian AAmir Mehmud on the death of his father.
Sirajul Haq said that the revelations made by Aziz Baloch were alarming and shameful, and he had exposed many faces.
The JI chief said the rulers were fighting among themselves and had no plans for the welfare of the masses. He said the tussle between the ruling parties would do no good for the people. He said it would be better if the ruling parties joined hands to pull the country out of the present mess.
He said that corruption had engulfed the whole society and trillions were being plundered out of the public exchequer every year. However, the rulers were least bothered about this evil. He said the JI campaign against corruption in March next aimed at cleansing the national politics of plunderers and bringing forth honest leadership. He hoped that the masses would join the campaign in large numbers and pave way for the expulsion of corrupt elements from all walks of life.

The Jamaat e Islami’s Members of the parliament have moved an adjournment motion in the Senate and the National Assembly against the Punjab government ban on the Tableeghi Jamaat in the educational institutions in the province, terming it an attempt to stop the preaching of Islam.

An identical motion tabled by the JI legislators said that the Tableeghi Jamaat was an international movement busy in the preaching of Islam and was working in all spheres of life including educational campuses, inviting the people to faith in Allah Almighty and the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet.

The motion said it was unfortunate that the instead of banning fashion shows, music concerts and the co-education system, the Punjab government had placed ban on those inviting the faithful to the teachings of Allah and His prophet.

While condemning the government move as a blatant attempt to the preaching of Islam and a clear support to the evil and all Satanic activities, the JI members have demanded an immediate discussion on the issue.

The movers of the motion include Senator Sirajul Haq, besides MNAs Sahibzada Tariqullah , Sahibzada Muhammad Yaqub, Sher Akbar Khan and Begum Aisha Syed.
