Govt to pay compensation to the owners of properties being acquired for Orange Line Metro Train:Kh Ahmad Hasaan

protest against orange line trainLahore: Advisor to Chief Minister Punjab, Khawaja Ahmad Hasaan has said that best compensation than market rate will be given to the owners of properties being acquired for Lahore Orange Line Metro Train Project. He said that payment of compensation will be started in two days and special camps will be set up at Jain Mandar, Engineering University and Thokar Niaz Baig for this purpose.

He said that compensation will be paid to the owners without any delay on production of ownership deeds. He said that besides price of property, compensation of constructed structure, migration allowance and amount of loss of business will be paid to these people so that they could start their alternative business and make residential arrangements.

He said this while talking to a delegation of traders of Samanabad and Multan Road, the other day. He also constituted a 6-member committee headed by former MPA Hafiz Mian Nauman for resolving problems of traders of Multan Road. The Project Director Orange Line Mazhar Khan and local bodies representatives will be included in the committee.

Kh. Ahmed Hasaan told that compensation will be paid to the people not having ownership proof of properties after verification of documents. He said that on the direction of Punjab government special meetings will be held in Board of Revenue twice a week for verification of these documents. He said that the compensation of structure will be paid immediately while price of land will be paid without any delay after verification of documents by Board of Revenue.
