Guinness World Records signs agreement for coverage of records

Lahore: Provincial Minister for Education and Sports Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan and officials of Guinness World Records have signed the agreement of coverage of records of coming youth festival at headquarters of Guinness World Records in London. Besides Education Minister, Deputy Secretary Education to Chief Minister Dr. Farrukh Naveed and Ali Ahmed of British Council Lahore were also present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Rana Mashhood said that Punjab government pays special attention to the capacity building of youth by considering them future leadership. He said that Punjab government has allocated funds of billions of rupees for the promotion of sports and other positive activities among youth. He said that Provincial Sports and Youth Affairs Department provided an affective platform to youth for their identification at international level and displaying their capabilities in different sports through youth festivals in previous years.

The Minister said that youth festival was not only followed by other provinces but other countries of the region as well. He said that the coverage of different 35 world records of previous youth festivals created enthusiasm among youth to move forward. He said that we are determined to hold youth festival this year. He said that members of teams of Gunnies Book of World Records will also come to Pakistan for the verification of world records to be set in different sports activities.
