Rana Sana laments media and opposition for criticizing the government

Lahore: Provincial Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs Rana Sanaullah Khan has said that four incidents including chopping of hands, sewing of lips, rape case and murder of woman on resistance against dacoity have been investigated professionally and on modern lines, which has exposed the reality of all the four incidents reported some days ago. He said that criticism by media and opposition against the government is very necessary and helpful for improving the performance of the government.

He was addressing a press conference at 90-Shahrah-e-Quaid-e-Azam, here today. IG Punjab and Director General Forensic Lab Dr. Ashraf Tahir were also present on the occasion.

Rana Sanaullah said that there was concern in media and society regarding the above mentioned four incidents which was creating the impression that perhaps law and order situation of Punjab is deteriorating. He said that all the four incidents have been interrogated on international principles which have revealed the facts.

He said that the incidents of chopping of hands and sewing lips were investigated by RPO Sargodha Zulfiqar Cheema while investigation of Lahore rape case was conducted by RPO Sheikhupura Abu Bakar Khuda Bakhsh and that of Sundardas dacoity by DIG Investigation Salman Chaudhry. He said that according to forensic evidences, the girl was not raped in Lahore rape case, no one cut the hands of a person in Nankana but hands were cut accidently while cutting fodder. The woman murdered on putting up resistance against alleged dacoity at Sundardas Road was killed by her husband and the person involved in the incident of sewing lips in Sangla Hill is a criminal history-sheeter extortionist who got his lips sewed to hide the alleged matter of deal and acquiring the attention and sympathies of media.

Rana Sanaullah said that Chief Minister and IG Punjab took special interest in all the four incidents as a result of which the causes of the incidents and facts could be brought before the people.
