A delegation of students of Govt. Degree College Khuzdar calls on CM Punjab

A delegation of students of Govt. Degree College Khuzdar calls on CM Punjab Shahbaz SharifLahore: A delegation of students of Govt. Degree College Khuzdar Baluchistan which is on a visit to Punjab met Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, here today.

The Chief Minister gave laptops to students of Baluchistan and their teachers on behalf of Punjab government.

Talking to delegation of students, the Chief Minister said that Pakistan comprises four units and the development of all provinces is essential for progress of the country. He said that there is a need for collective efforts for progress and prosperity of Pakistan. He said that youth are future of the country and there is need for maximum investment in the builders of the nation.

He said that Punjab government has provided funds of billions of rupees for education, training and empowerment of youth as it is vital for the progress of the country. He said that the nation has high expectations of its young generation and they should work hard, get education and also learn various skills as the developed nations of the world have made progress on the basis of education and skills.

He said it is the need of the hour that every Pakistani should work hard for ensuring a prominent status of the country in the comity of the nations. Shahbaz Sharif said that Punjab government has allocated special quota for boy and girl students of Baluchistan, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtoonkhawa, Azad Kashir and Gilgit Baltistan in its educational programmes.

He said that all units of Pakistan have included in the revolutionary programmes like Punjab Endowment Fund, Daanish Schools, Laptop Scheme, study tour of talented students to foreign countries and cash prizes for position holders. He said that this step of Punjab government has promoted national unity, brotherhood and interprovincial harmony. It is collective responsibility of all citizens to live as one nation and strive for the progress and the prosperity of the country, he added. He said that it is time to learn from the past mistakes and think about the future.

The Chief Minister said that Pakistan Muslim League-N government led by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is taking solid measures for the progress of Baluchistan and the Prime Minister is taking personal interest in the prosperity of Baluchistan. He said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has laid foundation stone of Western route of China Pakistan Economic Corridor in Zobe a few days ago. He said that CPEC projects are milestone in national development and progress and CPEC is an invaluable gift of China which is a reliable and sincere friend of Pakistan and under CPEC mega projects are to be executed in energy, infrastructure, road network, industrial estates in all the four provinces.

Shahbaz Sharif said that Punjab government has provided funds for setting up of a hospital for cardiac diseases in Quetta and it is expected that the work on the project will soon be started. He said that in order to achieve consensus on NFC Award in 2010, the Punjab government had given 11 billion rupees from its annual share to Baluchistan and had given 55 billion rupees to Baluchistan during five years. He said that Khyber Pakhtoonkhawa and Sindh have also benefited this sacrifice and it is collective responsibility to help each other and make efforts for progress of Pakistan.

The Chief Minister said that Pakistan is rich in natural resources and it is trying to adopt the principle of hard work and honesty for the development and prosperity of the society. He said that Punjab government has completed all projects with its own resources and also providing funds for the ongoing projects. He said that economic stability is essential for dignity and respect. He said that joys and sorrows of the four units of Pakistan as well as Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Kashmir are common.

He said that Pakistan has a lot of resources as well as talented workforce and though a lot of time and resources have been wasted but the nation can achieve its goal with hard work, trust and honesty.He said that there is a need to set new examples of love and sacrifice and work with honesty and commitment to achieve a dignified status in the comity of nations.

Shehbaz Sharif also announced a tour of Islamabad and Murree for the students of Govt. Degree College Khuzdar. The delegation of Baluchi students while talking to Chief Minister said that Punjab has made rapid progress under the leadership of Shehbaz Sharif and the public welfare projects implemented in Punjab should also be executed in other provinces.

They said that Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif has taken revolutionary measures in education sector. They said that they were happy to see splendid projects for the benefit of people in Punjab and the historic measures taken in the province in education sector are commendable. They said that Shehbaz Sharif is a role model.

Spokesman Punjab government Zaeem Hussain Qadri, Parliamentary Sectary Mehvish Sultana and Press Secretary to Chief Minister Shoaib Bin Aziz were also present on the occasion.
