Environment team seals a godown at Khokhar Town,near River Ravi

Lahore: Director General Environment Dr. Javed Iqbal along with a team conducted raid in Khokhar Town area and sealed a godown near River Ravi and recovered hospital waste in a large quantity.

It was found that the hospital waste was being separated in the godown.

DG Environment said that a campaign is continuing and the process of uninterrupted action against the units of collecting hospitals’ waste and its recycling will soon be completed in Lahore.

He said that although the mafia involved in it, is changing places but teams are also getting secret information and action is taken on identification. He told that the waste has been taken into possession and sent to incinerator. He said that a case has been also got registered against the owner of the godown.
