A Canadian delegation visits historical places of Lahore

Lahore: A 10-member Canadian delegation visited historical places of Lahore and various important institutions.

The delegation led by leader of opposition of Ontario Patrick Brown included Canadian Senator Salma Ataullahjan, Acting Canadian High Commissioner Andrew Turner, President Pakistan Canada Business Council Samir Dossal, Fiona Sioban Brown, Geneieve Gualtieri, Adam Ibrahim, Ahmed Attya and Mian Ashraf. Canadian delegation visited Punjab Board of Investment.

Chief Executive Officer PBIT Aamina Cheema gave briefing to the delegation. Canadian delegation expressed interest in providing agriculture processing unit.

A MoU was signed between Punjab Board of Investment and Pakistan Canada Business Council on the occasion. The delegation comprising members parliament and investors also visited Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry.

President LCCI Sheikh Arshad and other office-bearers welcomed the delegation. Head of Canadian delegation Patrick Brown said that vast opportunities of transfer of technology and education exist between Canada and Pakistan.

The delegation visited Sacred Heart Cathedral Church. Father Francis Gulzar, Father Joseph Gulzar and Father Phillip welcomed the delegation and told that Belgium government declared Sacred Heart Cathedral Church the best church in the world last year.

Later, the delegation visited Badshahi Mosque, Lahore Fort, Allama Iqbal tomb, Minar-e-Pakistan and Lahore Museum.
