PM Nawaz Sharif presents`Majestic Pakistan’ book to Sri Lankan Premier

Colombo: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Monday presented a book titled `Majestic Pakistan’ to his Sri Lankan counterpart Ranil Wickremesinghe, at its launch ceremony held here.
The two prime ministers joined the launch of trilingual book in English,Sinhalese and Tamil languages at an event organized here by Pakistan High Commission in
Colombo.
A Pakistan-Sri Lanka Friendship Anthem prepared by Pakistan High Commission was also launched on the occasion.
The event was attended among others by Begum Kalsoom Nawaz,Commerce Minister Khurram Dastgir Khan, Minister for Defence Production Rana Tanveer Hussain, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Tariq Fatemi, National Security Advisor Lt Gen (retd) Nasir Khan Janjua and Pakistan’s High Commissioner in Sri Lanka Maj. Gen. (retd) Syed Shakil Hussain.
Sri Lanka’s First Lady was also present on the occasion.
Later, Prime Minister Sharif and Prime Minister Wickremesinghe along with other dignitaries attended the dinner reception hosted by Pakistan High Commission, Colombo.
The `Majestic Pakistan’ book is a compilation of photographs depicting the beautiful scenery of different areas of Pakistan and is aimed at promoting the country’s tourism abroad.
The book also highlights about Pakistan being home to old Buddhist civilization, which is held in high esteem in Sri Lanka’s socio-religious culture.
