Hamida Waheed inaugurates gas supply project in Mandi Bahauddin

Mandi Bahauddin(Sher Gondal): Right at start of his government, CM Punjab Shahbaz Sharif directed all his ministers and MPAs to give top priority to the task of “service to people” by resolving their problems and providing them utilities like gas and electricity,  Provincial Minister for women empowerment Hamida Waheed has said.

She was inaugurating gas supply project in Ward 5 in Mandi City here the other day. Citizens of the Mohallah in large number attended the ceremony. She said she would continue serving people and ensure provision of gas supply in each locality of the city during her tenure, besides resolving other individual and collective problems of the people.

She said CM Punjab had launched another welfare program which she termed as unique in the history of this country, “Punjab Khidmat card” for providing interest free loans, free technical training, rehabilitation and welfare and financial assistance to disabled persons. This historical program had already been inaugurated and deserving special persons were being issued the cards. Purpose of this program is to make handicapped person active and useful members of the society, she added and said under this program m an amount of 3600 would be given to disabled persons on quarterly basis.

On the occasion she also announced renovation and repair of road from Alvi Chowk to Bano Bazaar with laying tiff tiles. This project would start next month, she said. Earlier she opened gas supply after cutting a ribbon. Notable of the Mohallah thanked her for meeting their long outstanding demand.
