Ali Institute of Education honours its distinguished alumni

Ali Institute of Education honours its distinguished alumniLahore: Ali Institute of Education (AIE) held a get-together of distinguished alumni at its auditorium the other day. The colorful ceremony was presided over by the Chairman, Board of Governors Syed Babar Ali. Rector Steve Ryan, faculty members, former students and their families attended the function in large numbers.

On the occasion, Rasheed Ahmad Phularwan- a visually impaired alumnus of the AIE was given shield of ‘distinguished alumnus’ in recognition of his valuable services in the field of education by Syed Babar Ali.

The Chairman praised the commitment and passion of Mr. Phularwan towards education-promotion in the impecunious strata and termed him as a valuable asset of the society who has worked tremendously, previously through the platform of AIE and presently of Punjab Education Foundation where he is working as a Deputy Director.

Mr. Phularwan has successfully carried out different capacity building projects including Cholistan Community Schools spread over three districts in Bahawalpur division. He has previously worked with UNDP and other institutions of prestige where he used his acumen to promote quality education at the grassroots.

While receiving the award, Rasheed Phularwan thanked the AIE management and vowed to continue working for the cause of education.
