Motorway Police launch a special campaign to check the vehicles without proper lightsLahore: National Highways & Motorway Police N-5 Central have started a special campaign to check the vehicles without proper lights. On the directions of Inspector General NH&MP a comprehensive campaign has been launched to ensure proper lights of the vehicles during night.

While directing officers of Motorway Police DIG Mirza Faran Baig said that vehicles without tail lights or with poor visibility of tail lights can become a cause of serious accidents. He asked the officers to ensure proper enforcement against, and briefing of the drivers using improper lights of their vehicles as this act hampers the visibility of back-lights.

The officers of Mobile Education Unit of N-5 Central Zone are also visiting different Bus and Heavy Transport Terminals to brief and educate the drivers about the importance of proper lights while travelling at night and dire consequences which may occur because of the vehicles without tail lights or improper back-lights.

DIG Mirza Faran Baig further asked officers to strongly discourage the usage of halogen lights and the practice of using high beams while driving as it causes inconvenience to others and can result in serious accidents. All the Sector Commanders have been asked to personally monitor these campaigns to make them result oriented.
