Election for President Pakistan Ex-Servicemen Society will be held January 10, 2016 in Rawalpindi

Mandi Bahauddin(Sher Gondal) : Election for top slot of President Pakistan Ex-Servicemen Society (PESS) will be held on Sunday, January 10, 2016 in Rawalpindi Cantt , informed General Secretary PESS M B Din Abdul Gani Gujar here to media persons.

He said election board has been constituted that comprise Col Sajjad Akhtar Malik, Major Muhammad Ali Khan and Naib Subedar Muhammad Riaz Ahmed. Col Sajjad would act as chairman of the board. Date for receiving nomination papers from candidates has been fixed as January 1, 2016.

According to constitution of the PESS, members of national Council PESS and presidents and secretaries of district and Tehsil would be eligible for casting votes. In addition four members of provincial councils rach and one member for every 250 members of Tehsil PESS organizations would have the right to vote.

It may be mentioned that during last elections Lt Gen (retired) Humid Gull was elected as president PESS. After his death Brig Abdul Rauf Malik has been doing duties as Acting President PESS.
