Van and bus collision on Gujrat-Phalia road takes lives of 3 persons

Mandi Bahauddin(Sher Gondal) : Two persons including van driver and a student were killed and 29 students sustained serious injuries when van and bus collided on Gujrat-Phalia road near Mano Chak on Saturday morning.

Punjab College Phalia van was carrying students when a speeding bus coming from opposite direction hit the van head on causing instant death of van driver and a student. The injured students were shifted to THQ hospital Phalia from where nine of them were referred to Lahore due to their critical condition. Police have registered a case.

Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has expressed deep sense of sorrow and grief over the death of three persons including two students in a road accident near Phalia.

The Chief Minister directed the administration that best treatment facilities should be provided to injured students and other persons. He also directed police officials to take legal action against the persons responsible of the accident.
