Local bodies mandate is trust of the people upon PML-N: Hamza Shahbaz

Lahore: PML-N Central leader Hamza Shahbaz MNA has said that the party will come up to the confidence reposed by the people in local bodies’ elections. He said that the leadership imbued with the spirit of public service will be brought at district level. He said that local bodies mandate is trust of the people and their problems will be resolved at their doorsteps. He said that sincere workers of the party will be brought forward at special local bodies seats so that maximum problem of the masses could be resolved.

He expressed these views while addressing newly elected chairmen, vice chairmen, members municipal committees and councilors belonging to Kasur and Nankana districts. He said that the confidence reposed by the people is, in fact, a great responsibility for which hard work will have to be done for coming up to their expectations.

He said that Punjab government will take necessary steps for strengthening local bodies institutions and legislation will also be considered for providing funds and power to them. He said that although mega projects are of great importance yet resolution of local problems at street and muhalla level is also essential, for which local bodies institutions will play important role. Hamza Shehbaz congratulated newly elected members and expressed good wishes for them.

Hamza Shahbaz also interviewed various members for chairmenship and other offices of district Kasur and Nankana while members of other districts of Punjab will be interviewed later.

Local bodies members thanked Hamza Shahbaz while some independent members of both the districts also joined PML-N. They expressed their determination to work as a party worker under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif.
