The liberation of Kashmir is our national agenda :Senator Sirajul Haq

Pic Sirajul Haq,Lahore: Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, has said that the liberation of Kashmir was our national agenda and the nation wanted a serious effort by the Pakistani rulers and the Azad Kashmir government in this respect.

Addressing a big public meeting at Khoi Ratta, near Kotli, on Sunday, he however said that the  rulers did not seem to be serious for the liberation of Kashmir and all their energies were directed towards amassing wealth and transferring it to foreign countries. He said that Pakistan was incomplete without Kashmir.

Sirajul Haq said that the Prime Minister was touring different countries every day in search of foreign investment and suggested that that the Premier should also make similar effort to highlight the Kashmir and the Palestine issues and seek the support of the Muslim rulers to raise the issue before the UN and the world at large. He said that peace in the region was a dream without the solution of the Kashmir issue in accordance with the wishes of the Kashmiris.

Sirajul Haq said that  JI leaders in Bangladesh were being sent to the gallows only because of their love for Pakistan  but the rulers in Islamabad were maintaining a criminal silence on the issue. He said he had suggested to the rulers to join the funeral prayers for the executed JI leaders but there was no response. He said the government should move the International Court of Justice against Indian Prime Minister Modi for his role in the breakup of Pakistan and the so called war crime trials in Bangladesh which were against international law.

The JI chief slated the Prime Minister’s longing for a liberal Pakistan and asked if the Kashmiris were offering sacrifices to join a secular Pakistan. He said that the JI was struggling for an Islamic Pakistan and added that deviation from the Pakistan ideology and its goal was betrayal of the ideology.

He reiterated his agenda for a prosperous Pakistan with a uniform education system all over the country. He further said that the JI would grant all rights to the women folk and full protection to the minorities.

The JI chief also counseled the masses to review their attitude instead of blaming foreign powers. He said that the people had been voting feudal lords and capitalist to power who were least interested in the uplift of the poor. He said that the instead of levying additional taxes worth Rs. 40 billion, the government should have cut down its expenditure.
