A delegation of under-training ASPs calls on minister for law Punjab

Lahore: Provincial Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs Rana Sanaullah Khan has said that the real test of police officers in practical life is to maintain balance between the force of powers and polite behavior with the people. He said that district police officers should keep a close contact with media and learn to face camera. He said that functioning of police can be improved by reformation of police stations in accordance with the needs of justice. He said that all district police officers have been posted on merit.

He was addressing a 29-member delegation of under-training ASPs of National Command Course from National Police Academy Islamabad currently on a study tour to Lahore at 90-Shahrah-e-Quaid-e-Azam, today.

Special Assistant to Chief Minister Rana Maqbool, Special Secretary Home, Additional IG Punjab, Additional IG Special Branch, DIG CTD and Deputy Commandant National Police Academy Siddique Kamal were also present on the occasion.

Rana Sanaullah said that police officers during training should also highlight this characteristic that they have to face people along with government in their practical life, therefore, they should learn to behave politely with the complainants. He said it has been seen that nature of crime has great link with local culture, therefore, police officers should also make cultural study as integral part of their training. He said that we can overcome our mistakes through positive criticism of the media.

Rana Sanaullah said that Punjab government is making efforts round the clock for the maintenance of peace. He said that government is implementing the policy of zero tolerance against provocative speeches.

Rana Maqbool said that under-training officers should join their job as a mission. He said that senior officers should make their relations strong with juniors for effective teamwork. Earlier, Special Secretary Home, Additional IG Special Branch and DIG CTD apprised the participants about government steps taken for curbing crimes and law & order situation of the province.
