Online registration of 5th & 8th Exams to continue up to 16th Nov

Lahore:  Chairman Punjab IT Board (PITB) Dr. Umar Saif  has said that online registration of the students for class 5 & 8 examinations under Punjab Examinations Commission (PEC) would continue up to 16 th Nov.

He was addressing a meeting held at Arfa Software Technology Park on Tuesday.

He told that 2.04 million applications have been processed including 51000 applications from private schools/students against a last year’s target of 2.3 m. He told that the registration process had been facilitated by the Schools Education Department by forming clusters at main schools in the area across Punjab. The schools’ representatives collect forms from their students and submit to the nearby registration cluster where it is entered into the main dash board controlled by the PITB.

Dr. Saif said that private schools or individual student seeking registration might also contact that cluster along with filled in registration form and National Identity Card of the father, mother or guardian. “The online registration saves time, minimizes huge work load and mistakes in the data and eases the hectic process of conducting the examination,” he added.
