GCU delegation visits Iqbal’s mausoleum

Lahore: A delegation of students and teachers from the alma mater of Allama Muhammad Iqbal Monday visited the Iqbal’s mausoleum to pay homage to the great Old Ravian philosopher on his birth anniversary. The delegation, led by Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Hassan Amir Shah, offered fateha for the soul of the great national poet and laid a floral wreath. The Vice Chancellor also recorded his views in the visitors’ book. Later, Iqbal’s Day Poetry Competition was held at the GCU Allama Iqbal Hostel. The Vice Chancellor said that it was a matter of great pride and inspiration for all Ravians that Allama Muhammad Iqbal had been the student of Government College Lahore.
