Six hunters booked for preying Hog Deer & Falcons

Hog DeerLahore: Six persons have been challaned on the violation of Section 9 and a fine of Rs.90 thousand was imposed under Section 38 of Wildlife Act on illegal hunting of falcons and hog deer in Gujranwala division under a campaign against illegal hunters.

According to details, special raiding teams constituted by Director General Wildlife Khalid Ayaz have imposed fine of Rs.20 thousand each to Ameer Hamza and Muhammad Basharat in Bajwat, district Sialkot game reserve while Rs.10 thousand each to Akbar Khan, Hanif and Muhammad Rafique at riverine area Head Khanki district Gujrat on illegal hunting of falcon.

Similarly, action was also taken against Muhammad Ajmal son of Muhammad Anwar on illegal hunting of hog deer who was traced from facebook and after collection of evidences from the hunting site Zafarwal district Narowal and on his confessed statement during investigation, a fine of Rs.20 thousand was also imposed.

DG Wildlife Khalid Ayaz has directed raiding teams to further accelerate campaign against illegal hunters. He also announced commendatory certificates for those showing outstanding performance.
