Prof. Khalid Mehmood constitute committee to conduct test of Hafiz e Quran candidates

Prof. Khalid MehmoodLahore: Principal Post Graduate Medical Institute and Lahore General Hospital Prof. Khalid Mehmood has constituted a four member committee to conduct test of Hafiz e Quran candidates who have applied for admission at Nursing School, Lahore General Hospital for 3 year nursing training course. The test is held on 27 October, 2015 at nursing school LGH. After the test, the successful candidates would get additional merit marks in accordance with the government policy.

Prof. Khalid Mahmood said in this regard that as many as 1250 girls had applied against the total 58 seats of the above said nursing course. He told that there were 14 candidates who submitted certificates of being Hafiz e Quran and after qualifying test, they would be eligible for additional merit marks. He said that Fsc. passed girls would be preferred for admission in the nursing course. He directed the members of admission committee to strictly observe merit throughout the admission process. He asked the concerned staff to confirm the educational certificates and domiciles of all the successful candidates and on proving certificates of some candidates to be bogus, their admissions may be cancelled. He told that the selected candidates would get monthly stipend as well as free hostel accommodation as per government policy.
