Pakistan observe October 27 as a Black day to condemn the unlawful occupation of J&K by the Indian forces

Ch Muhammad Barjees TahirLahore: The Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Chaudhry Muhammad Barjees Tahir has said in a special message that the people of Jammu and Kashmir and that of Pakistan observe October 27 every year as a Black day to condemn the unlawful occupation of Jammu and Kashmir by the Indian forces. He said that India has been illegally occupying the state of Jammu and Kashmir against the wishes of its people, in utter violation of UN Security Council resolutions, for last 68 years.

He said that people of Jammu and Kashmir never accepted the Indian Occupation. They have been waging a heroic struggle, against India in which more than 90,000 Kashmiries have sacrificed their lives. He saluted the valiant people of Jammu and Kashmir who have remained resolute and steadfast in their just struggle despite the serious atrocities and human rights violations committed by the Indian forces.

The Federal Minister said that Kashmir is the core dispute between Pakistan and India and peace in the region will remain elusive unless this issue is resolved according to the wishes of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He urged the international community to play an active role in impressing upon the India to implement the UN resolutions on Jammu and Kashmir that call for a UN administered free and impartial plebiscite.

Ch Muhammad Barjees Tahir expressed his resolve that Pakistan will continue to raise the Kashmir issue and human rights violations in Indian occupied Kashmir, at all international forums and it’s unflinching moral, political and diplomatic support to people of Jammu and Kashmir in their just struggle for self determination.

The Federal Minister said that Pakistan wants to settle all outstanding issues through peaceful means that is why Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif attended the Indian Prime Minister Narindra Modi‘s oath taking ceremony in order to promote peace in the region. But unfortunately India always adopted delaying tactics and never responded positively to Pakistan’s efforts for peace in the region. The Minister said that PM has extended yet another olive branch to India by offering a 4 point peace formula, in his speech to UNGA this year. But on other hand India is continuously violating the ceasefire on line of control and is targeting the innocent people living on LOC.

The Minister said that Modi government has itself exposed its ugly face to the entire world by inflicting atrocities against minorities and low caste Hindus. It is our responsibility to further expose India’s this ugly face to the world.

He added that this year number of steps and measures have been planned on national and international to observe Black day in order to condemn the Indian illegal occupation and atrocities in Indian occupied Kashmir.

The Minister said that protest rallies and processions will be carried out infront of Indian High commissions and embassies throughout the world, in order to condemn the Indian illegal occupation Kashmir. In addition to this talk shows, seminars, pictorial exhibitions will be also be arranged by our embassies abroad to highlight Indian atrocities in Indian held Kashmir. Special arrangement has been made to telecast video documentaries and human rights commission reports regarding Indian atrocities in held Kashmir.

Ch Muhammad Barjees Tahir said that special arrangement have also been made to observe this day with full intensity at national level. In this regard the protest rallies are being carried out throughout Pakistan including Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir .Protest would also be carried out infront of the Indian High Commission. In addition to this memorandum against Indian illegal occupation would also be presented to the UN officials. The CDA in Islamabad and provincial and district governments have made special arrangement to display banners and hoarding highlighting the Indian cruel rule in occupied Kashmir.

The Federal Minister said that official and private TV channels will telecast special programs on Black Day and articles would be published in print media in order to express solidarity with Kashmiri people.

The Minister said that Kashmir issue is a national cause and it is incumbent upon all of us to observe this day with full integrity. A large number of people from all walk of life, civil society and students would join hands against Indian brutal occupation .He also lauded the role of private media channels in exposing Indian injustice and cruelty and hoped that private electronic and print media will continue to air the people’s voice against brutal and illegal  Indian occupation of Kashmir.
