LNG pipeline deal to settle energy crisis in Punjab: Ghiyas Paracha

APCNGA  Ghiyas Abdullah Paracha PicLahore: The All Pakistan CNG Association on Monday lauded the selfless efforts of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif which has materialised LNG import and distribution plan in record time.

The positive impact of LNG import would soon be felt across the country as it will help reduce energy scarcity, it said.

The frequent supply chain disruption has been brought under control as the gas is being fed to consumer without any interruption since two months, said Ghiyas Abdullah Paracha, Chairman Supreme Council APCNGA.

In a statement issued here today, he said that Ogra has issued notification to reduce prices of RLNG which would provide relief to CNG operators and tens of millions of people.

Ghiyas Paracha also lauded the tireless efforts of petroleum minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi which resulted in functioning of hundreds of CNG stations in Punjab which were on the brink.

The leader of the CNG sector said that the efforts of the Government is set to reduce oil import bill, unemployment and pollution and thousands of laid off workers have been recalled to work at CNG filling stations.

The initiatives have sent a very positive signal which is evident from the decision of automakers who have against started producing CNG-fitted vehicles.

Ghiyas Paracha said that LNG pipeline deal is a great achievement of the government which will not only subside energy crisis in Punjab but also impact the energy situation in other provinces which will improve economy, revenue and job market.
