Shahbaz Sharif pays a surprise visit to District Headquarters Hospital Kasur

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif today paid a surprise visit to District Headquarters Hospital Kasur. He reached the hospital by an ordinary coach without protocol and checked different wards, toilets and store room of medicines. He inquired after the patients in the wards and asked from the attendants of the patients about medical facilities and medicines being provided to them.

The Chief Minister remained two and a half hours in the hospital and went to different wards. He also checked toilets attached to the wards and strongly reprimanded the concerned authorities on poor sanitary conditions in the hospital and non-availability of water and lights. The patients and their attendants informed the Chief Minister about their problems. They prayed for the Chief Minister on issuing immediate orders for resolving their problems and added that due to his arrival, doctors and other staff has become active.

Talking to the patients, Shehbaz Sharif said that Punjab government is spending billions of rupees on improving public health facilities and added that if provision of facilities to the patients is not ensured then it is inefficiency of authorities concerned of Health Department and administrative officers which will not be tolerated at any cost. He said that he will continue to pay surprise visits in future as well.
