Shahbaz Sharif presides over a meeting of provincial cabinet

Lahore: Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif presided over a meeting of provincial cabinet in which all the participants were served with tea and biscuits as per routine under austerity policy.

The Chief Minister replied personally to the questions asked by Provincial Ministers regarding gas power plant being set up at Bhikki, Sheikhupura. Members of Punjab cabinet paid rich tributes to the committed leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif for furthering the matters regarding gas project speedily in a transparent manner.

Members of Punjab cabinet said that the hard work and honesty with which Chief Minister is engaged in energy projects is unprecedented and they all congratulate Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif on giving a practical shape to the matters of project of gas power plant in a very short period.

The credit goes only to a hard working Chief Minister like Shehbaz Sharif for completing the work of one and a half years in only six months.

They said that the Chief Minister also ensured transparency while maintaining high standard and completed all the matters speedily.

This meeting of Punjab cabinet congratulates Pakistani people on the beginning of construction of 1180 megawatt plant operating through gas in Bhikki, Sheikhupura. The meeting considers construction of this modern power plant as a trendsetter in the generation of cheap and environment-friendly electricity in Pakistan. Members of Punjab cabinet pay rich tributes to Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif due to whose leadership abilities and day and night efforts, beginning of construction of this low cost and maximum production power plant became possible.

With the completion of this project, Punjab will get the honor of rendering national service of addition of 1180 megawatt electricity in the national grid this plant will also become the source of ridding Pakistan of darkness of load-shedding and increasing employment opportunities through agriculture and industrial development.

The meeting considers that start of this important project has paved the way of setting up of more projects in Punjab as the documents of administrative, technical and legal agreements for the projects of gas power plants have been prepared with the consultation of experts which are necessary to start such projects.

This meeting of the Punjab cabinet thanks political and administrative team of Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, public representatives, government officers and officials, technical experts, labourers and all other persons and institutions which took part in the construction of this power plant and played their active role in the implementation of this important national project.

This meeting felicitates Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and his entire team to further this project speedily and transparently. The meeting is also thankful to Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif who fully patronized to set up power plants running through gas in Punjab. We thank Prime Minister’s team and concerned federal institutions on providing all out assistance in this regard.
