Punjab Police devise final security plan for the forth-coming By-elections

Punjab Police has devised its final security plan for the forth-coming By-electionsLahore: Punjab Police has devised its final security plan for the forth-coming By-elections in both the districts Lahore and Okara. All the Officers and officials have been strictly directed to remain impartial and neutral during these elections. Strict disciplinary action will be taken in case of receiving any complaint against such officer/official of their involvement at any stage.

These views were expressed by Inspector General of Police Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera while addressing a meeting held for the purpose in CPO. Lahore.

According to security plan in 494 polling-stations of both districts 8 thousand, 6 hundred and 88 police officials will remain on duty which included 17 gazetted officers, 659 upper-subordinate, 5 thousand 5 hundred 42 Lower Subordinates, 494 Police Qaumi Razakar, (PQR) and 1 thousand 9 hundred 76 Special Police officials, deployed in both constituencies. Similarly, the patrolling teams under the SP rank officer will remain on patrolling duty through out the Polling process.

During these By-elections four layers security will be provided and 10 reserves, armed with Anti Riot equipments will remain as stand by arrangements to deal with any kind of law and order situation. APC will also be available in the vicinity to deal with any emergency and rescue 1122 will also remained on stand-by positions.

On the instructions of Election Commission of Pakistan at Polling stations contingents of Pakistan Army   will also be deployed.
