Police will ensure implementation of code of conduct of election commission : CCPO Lahore

Lahore: CCPO Lahore Capt. (R) Muhammad Amin Wains has said that Lahore police will ensure implementation of code of conduct of election commission during bye-elections. He said that immediate legal action will be taken against the violators of code of conduct, ban on display of weapons or aerial firing during election campaign.

Regarding security arrangements, he said that all divisional SPs should visit party election offices in their respective areas and sent proposals for evolving a comprehensive security plan. He said that all DSPs should remain in touch with all candidates and patrolling of police should be increased on important roads of the city.

He expressed these views while addressing an important meeting of candidates of bye-election and concerned police officers at police lines Qila Gujar Singh today.

DIG Operations Dr. Haider Ashraf said that building to building security will be provided during elections and video recording will be made through CCTV cameras.
