The dead bodies of eight Pakistanis drowned in Italy reached at LahoreLahore: The dead bodies of eight Pakistanis who were drowned in Italy boat incident have been handed over to their relatives after reaching at Lahore airport. Punjab Minister for Food Bilal Yasin and Commissioner Overseas Pakistanis Commission Punjab Afzaal Bhatti while representing Punjab government, handed over the dead bodies to the heirs.

Talking to media representatives at Lahore Airport, Bilal Yasin and Afzaal Bhatti said that as many as 15 Pakistanis had died in Italy boat incident, eight dead bodies have retained, two dead bodies would reach in a few days while five dead bodies have been buried in Libya. They informed that PML-N Overseas Organization has played a significant role to send the dead bodies to Pakistan and collected 35 thousand Euros to bear the transportation expenditures.

While Overseas Pakistanis Commission Punjab and Overseas Pakistani Foundation made special arrangements to send the dead bodies to their native towns. Bilal Yasin and Afzaal Bhatti told that Faisal Nadeem from Kharian, Muhammad Nawaz, Muhammad Imran from Mandi Bahauddin, Umair Raza, Hassan Saeed, Akbar Ali, Abdul Maroof from Gujrat and Muhammad Imran from Jhang are among deceased. Director General Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) Punjab Khawaja Daud, Additional Director General Capt.(R) Ahmad Mubeen and other officers of OPC were also present at Lahore airport.
