Lahore: On the directions of Inspector General National Highways & Motorway Police, Central Zone has conducted special patrolling on the eve of Eid-ul-Azha. In order to share happiness of the day, all officers from Constable to Inspector General participated in the special patrolling.
Flowers, special gift hampers and chocolates were distributed among road users and children. During Special Patrolling briefing sessions were organized to ensure smooth and safe journey to the road users while focus was laid on over speeding and overcharging of public service vehicles.
During special patrolling Zonal Commander DIG Mirza Faran Baig made a visit to Okara Sector. During his visit DIG Mirza Faran Baig instructed the patrolling staff that if any bus, vegan or other public service vehicle takes extra fare from the passengers or is involved in overloading, not only the overcharged amount should be returned but strict legal action should also be taken against them.
DIG said that no one would be allowed to do excess to the passengers on this auspicious eve of Eid. In case of any complaint, the road users are requested to contact on duty Motorway Police personnel or NH&MP Helpline (130).
