Supreme Court to investigate into the corruption in development projects in Punjab

PTI CH Sarwar Pic 14 SepLahore: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Punjab organiser Chaudhary Muhammad Sarwar has demanded constitution of a Commission comprising Supreme Court judges to investigate into the corruption in development projects in Punjab.

He said the Sharif brothers’ central and Punjab governments were setting new records of corruption and failures.  He said the PML-N government was day-dreaming to win the by-election through rigging but the PTI foil all such nefarious plans.

He was addressing different public meetings and door-to-door campaign in Garhi Shahu, Allama Iqbal Road, Samanabad and Shama Stop on Monday. MPAs Mian Aslam Iqbal, Dr Nausheen Hamid, candidates Abdul Aleem Khan and Shoaib Siddiqui were accompany the party organiser.

Chaudhary Sarwar said the PML-N leadership had during general election campaign made tall claims of ending load-shedding, price-hike and joblessness using their experience but it failed on all fronts. If people allowed the PML-N to continue using its experience, he said, the country would be devastated. He said the PTI was not sleeping now and would stop the PML-N from its rigging spree.

He asked the Election Commission of Pakistan to fulfill its responsibility by ensuring free and fair by-elections in Lahore and Lodhran.He said the Sharif brothers’ dictatorial decisions were weakening the federation and stressed that the federal government should take all provinces along because step-motherly treatment to any one province could be disastrous for the country.

Mian Aslam Iqbal said the PML-N could see its defeat written on the wall and that is why Ayaz Sadiq was trying to get stay order and run away from the election arena. He said Ayaz Sadiq must face public for its doings and wrong-doings.

Abdul Aleem Khan and Shoaib Siddiqui said the PML-N had started pre-poll rigging by offering jobs to NA-122 and PP-147 residents that tantamount to `purchasing’ their votes. They said the PML-N should know that it was dieing its political death and it would be defeated in the by-elections.
