Peace will come in Pakistan only through liberation of Kashmir:Ch Zaheeruddin

PML House Meeting Picture 22.8.2015Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League (PML) Punjab General Secretary Ch Zaheeruddin Khan has said that prosperity and peace will come in Pakistan only through liberation of Kashmir and construction of Kalabagh dam, rulers should show national honour instead of begging India for negotiations and turn down all sorts of black mailing, the Quaid-i-Azam had declared Kashmir as life-line which meant treasure of water which comes to Pakistan through mountains of Kashmir.

He expressed these views while addressing a meeting of PML office-bearers in the Muslim League House here today. Those present in the meeting included Mian Munir, MPA Mohammad Shah Khagga, MPA Khadeeja Farooqui, Nasir Ramzan Gujjar, Kissan Wing President Tanveer Azam Cheema and General Secretary Rana Istikhar Ahmad, Presidents of different wings and other office-bearers,

Ch Zaheeruddin said that coal, solar and thermal power projects are being launched instead of construction of water reservoirs during tenure of present govt, these projects are of great benefit for the rulers but are of no benefit for the people, farmers, traders and businessmen of this country, secret of economic progress of Pakistan lies in the construction of water reservoirs and less costly energy projects.

He further said that the farmers are sitting on Mall Road protesting in support of their demands, the govt is resorting to oppression on them, they are not being given their genuine rights, they are forced to use costly electricity, fertilizers and water and they are being pushed on the path of protest, the day farmers come out on roads it will become impossible for the rulers to remain in power even for one day.

He pointedly stated that solution of farmer and agriculture problems lies in the construction of major water reservoirs including Kalabagh dam.
