Oriental College’s Prof Dr Muhammad Kamran attends international conference on fine arts

Lahore: Punjab University Oriental College’s Department of Urdu Chairman Prof Dr Muhammad Kamran has participated in an international conference on fine arts and society at Imperial College, London.

Over 300 scholars from all over the world participated in the academic event and Dr Kamran was the only scholar who represented Pakistan.

In his research paper, Dr Kamran described link between poetry and imagination in the era of internet. He also shed light on poetry of Ghalib, Allama Iqbal, Faiz Ahmad Faiz and paintings of Abdur Rehman Chughtai and Sadqeen. The organizers and participants lauded Dr Kamran’s research paper and termed it interesting, meaningful and thought-provoking.

Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran has congratulated Dr Kamran on representing Pakistan and PU in Imperial College, London.
