General Hameed Gull always talked about Pakistan: Ch Shujat Hussain

Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League (PML) President and former Prime Minister Ch Shujat Hussain has said that General Hameed Gull was an institution in himself, he enjoyed prestige and popularity among people of all thoughts.

He said this while talking to media after visiting residence of General Hameed Gull and offering condolence with the bereaved family and “fateha” along with PML senior central leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Ch Parvez Elahi in Islamabad today. He was also accompanied by Mohammad Basharat Raja and other PML leaders.

Paying glowing tributes to General Hameed Gull for his services for Pakistan and Pak Army, Ch Shujat Hussain said that he was an asset of the country but regretfully the govt could not take work from him for which he was capable because he could play full active role whether it was an issue of Afghanistan or Kashmir due to his God-given capabilities and intelligence. He said when time came for dialogue with the Taliban he alone was enough instead of all others, he was very popular in Taliban circles and even he had access to Mullah Omar.

Ch Shujat Hussain further said that the whole world is aware about his sentiments on matter of Kashmir, his was an international personality and for this “ghaibana namaza-e-janaza” was offered in different countries including India also. He said that General Hameed Gull had deep concern about Pakistan in his heart and always talked about Pakistan.
