Secretary Health sought cleanliness certificates from all government hospitals

Lahore: Secretary Health Punjab Jawad Rafique Malik has asked administration of all government hospitals of the province to provide certificates regarding cleanliness and infection-free operation theaters.

He has issued instructions to principals of all government medical colleges, EDOs Health, Medical Superintendents of teaching, district and Tehsil Headquarters hospitals in this regard. Jawad Rafique Malik directed that all government hospitals should ensure implementation of SOPs prescribed by Punjab Healthcare Commission.

He said that the administration of government hospitals should immediately send certificates of germ-free operation theaters to Health Department. Secretary Health said that the prescribed standard of cleanliness should be ensured in the limits of wards and hospitals.

It would be pertinent to mention here that a few days before Punjab Healthcare Commission has sealed operation theaters of Services Hospital & Fatima memorial hospital  due to dirty environment.
