Every oppressed and helpless person is pinning hope on military courts:Pervaiz Elahi

Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League (PML) senior central leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Ch Pervaiz Elahi has said that every oppressed and helpless person is pinning hope on military courts for justice whether it is tragedy of children abuse in Kasur or incident of lawlessness and he demands this which is an ample proof of failure and bad governance of inefficient rulers which has surfaced in every sector, we established institutions for welfare and protection of children, Shahbaz Sharif has left them at the mercy of criminals.

He said this while talking to the media after sympathizing with the parents of oppressed children in village Hussain Khan Wala in Kasur today. Large number of PML leaders and workers including MNA Tariq Bashir Cheema, Provincial Secretary Ch Zaheeruddin Khan, MPA Vickas Hassan Mokal and Dr Azeemuddin Zahid Lakhvi accompanied him.

Expressing heartfelt grief and sorrow over martyrdom of Provincial Minister Col (R) Shuja Khanzada and others in suicide attack in Attock, Ch Pervaiz Elahi said that most tragic aspect of this incident that he remained buried under the debris for many hours and even his nephew Sohrab Khanzada kept appealing to the Army Chief over the media that the Punjab Govt is doing nothing, you better do something to rescue former colonel of your army and others.

Supporting the demand for Kasur tragedy case trial in the military court,Ch Pervaiz Elahi said that we will continue our struggle till justice is done to the affected. Deploring in apathy of Shahbaz Sharif over such large of children being abused continuously, he said that he (Shahbaz Sharif) had even made the central character of Model Town tragedy the Law Minister again and today law and order situation in the province is so much grave that even the govt minister is not safe in his home.

He said the so-called Khadam-e-A’ala has not bothered to visit the affected in Kasur whereas the Law Minister is describing it as a matter of land though it is a case of conscious. He said the Chief Minister, police and administration should consider these children as their children, we have come here today not for politics or to ask for vote but to express solidarity with the oppressed. He said this JIT (Joint Investigation Team) is also like Model Town tragedy, this matter has brought bad name to Pakistan including Punjab the world over, rulers patronizing criminals are the real culprits of Kasur tragedy. He said during tenure of Shahbaz Sharif, Punjab has reached to number one in term of children abuse cases, during last 8 years about three thousand cases of child abuse were reported to the police out of which videos of 400 were made.

Afterwards, Ch Pervaiz Elahi telephoned Col (R) Shuja Khanzada’s son Jahangir Khanzada and conveyed his condolence and appreciated the services of his late father.
