Rana Mashud presides the first meeting of Technical Committee of Lahore Knowledge Park Company

Lahore: Provincial Minister for Education Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan presided over the first meeting of Technical Committee of Lahore Knowledge Park Company, today.

Addressing the meeting, Provincial Minister said that government will provide educational opportunities of international standard to the students from the platform of Knowledge Park. He said that all possible resources are being utilized for raising the educational standard.

Rana Mashhood said that education is the top priority of Punjab government and allocation of budget more than other provinces reflects this fact. Head of Committee Razzaq Daud, Vice Chancellor Lahore University of Management Sciences Sohail Naqvi, Secretary Higher Education Irfan Ali, Chief Executive Lahore Knowledge Park Company Shahid Zaman, Secretary Asif Bukhari and other concerned officials were present on the occasion while educationists from Singapore and South Korea also participated in the meeting through video conference.

Rana Mashhood said that Lahore Knowledge Park will bring a revolution in education sector due to which not only modern educational facilities will be available to the students but will also help in harmonizing the national needs of educational syllabus. He said that setting up of Knowledge Park is of great importance in the developed countries. He said that this is the new project in Pakistan which is being launched in Punjab. The Education Minister said that government will provide opportunities to the teachers and students of getting education in the prestigious universities of the world for raising standard of education.

Later, addressing the National Public Health Conference arranged by Noor Center for Research & Policy, Rana Mashhood said that PML-N government has evolved a comprehensive policy for fulfilling the promises made with the people. He said that all out resources are being utilized for coping with the crisis being faced by the country. He said that working groups have already been constituted for Sustainable Development Goals to be introduced by United Nations in September. He said that this is the message of the independence month that we should be united and play our due role for the development and stability of the country.
