Health Department will provide all out resources for making PIC a model hospital:Jawad Rafique Malik

Lahore: Punjab government and Health Department will provide all out resources and support for making Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) a model hospital. Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has directed that all out measures will be taken for making PIC a patient-friendly hospital.

This was stated by Secretary Health Punjab Jawad Rafique Malik while addressing a function in PIC in connection with Independence Day. Jawad Rafique said the best way to celebrate Independence Day is to pledge that all out efforts will be made for the service to the country and performance of official responsibilities with best abilities.

He further said that development of health sector is the mission of Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif and government is providing maximum resources for this purpose. CEO PIC Prof. Dr. Nadeem Hayat Malik and MS Dr. Sohail Saqlain got a promise from the staff of the hospital, doctors, nurses and paramedics that they will perform their duties efficiently and honestly. Prizes including sewing machines and bicycles were given to the hospital employees showing outstanding performance.

Meanwhile, DG Health Dr. Zahid Pervaiz attended Independence Day function in Punjab Institute of Mental Health. Doctors, medical staff and the patients presented national songs. Similarly, functions were also held in Mayo Hospital, Services Hospital, Jinnah Hospital and other government hospitals of Punjab where national flag was hoisted, national songs were presented while prayers were offered for development and prosperity of the country.
