Ch M Sarwa PTI Pic 13-8-15Lahore: The Pakistan Muslim League (N) and Pakistan Peoples Party’s 65 lawyers and their workers and supporters on Thursday announced joining the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. PTI Punjab Organiser Chaudhary Muhammad Sarwar welcomed the lawyers and their workers in the PTI fold and asserted that the incumbent government’s proposal to hold local bodies elections in phases was part of its rigging plan. “The PTI vehemently rejects the plan of holding elections in phases,” he said.

Chaudhary Sarwar also said that the free and fair elections in Punjab could only be held under the direct supervision of Rangers. He said that PTI and other opposition parties had decided that they would not let the government plunder the people’s votes. Referring to Kasur sex scandal, he said, that the rulers were acting as spokesmen of the accused and their perpetrators. He said that PTI was not fighting for its rule but progress and prosperity of the country. He said that “gullucracy” in Punjab had pushed people against the wall and the rulers were making efforts to complete their constitutional tenure.

Chaudhary Sarwar was addressing a meeting of PML-N and PPP’s 65 lawyers led by former general secretary Bar Association from Sheikhupura advocate Rana Zahid Mahmood Khan, advocate Bilal Gadhi, advocate Sheikh Usman at his office as well as a PTI workers’ convention organised by former MPA Mian Mehmood in Shahdara on Thursday. PTI Punjab deputy organiser Omar Sarfraz Cheema and other party leaders were also present on the occasion.

Chaudhary Sarwar said that PTI had become the most popular political party in the country due to its people-friendly policies and regretted that the PML-N and PPP are only interested in looting the national wealth and have pushed the masses into a quagmire.  Now, he said, both PML-N and PPP were heading towards their political death and people are looking to PTI as their last hope in terms of their progress and prosperity. He said that PTI under the leadership of Imran Khan would not disappoint the masses and will fight for people’s rights.

Chaudhary Sarwar said that PML-N could visibly see its defeat in the local bodies elections and therefore using delaying tactics in holding the polls besides planning for rigging including phase-wise elections in the province. He demanded that the government should hold local body elections simultaneously across the province. He also demanded that the elections should be held under the supervisionof Rangers instead of Punjab bureaucracy.
