Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif presided over a high level meeting, here today, which reviewed in detail the situation in view of Kasur incident. The Chief Minister directed Joint Investigation Team (JIT) constituted for impartial inquiry into the incident to immediately start investigation. He directed members of JIT to stay in Kasur and complete all investigations at the earliest.
Shahbaz Sharif directed Inspector General Police Punjab to reach the affected village today. Addressing the meeting, the Chief Minister said that stern action will be taken against the persons responsible for Kasur incident and they will be taken to task. He said that provision of justice to the affected families will be ensured at every cost. He said that the accused deserve deterrent punishment. He said that the heinous act cannot be tolerated and the persons responsible for this shameful act will not escape punishment.
Shahbaz Sharif said that no effort will be spared in redressing the grievances of the affected families. Provincial Ministers Rana Sanaullah, Col (Retd.) Shuja Khanzada, Inspector General Police Punjab, RPO Sheikhupura and senior officials attended the meeting.
