Motorway Police nabs an armed culprit with stolen and snatched two cars

IG Saleem Bhatti,DIG Mirza Faran BaigLahore: Motorway Police Central Zone recovered stolen and snatched two cars and arrested an armed culprit.

As per details, on Multan Road in the area of Jumber the official of fine collection unit informed the Motorway Police that an armed man stopped his car no. LES. 7265 near Din Mills, Pattoki  and snatched a car No. LED-889 driver and ran away.

On receiving this information all patrolling mobiles of Motorway Police got alert. After few minutes, the Motorway Police officers SPO Amir Ali and SPO Shafiq ur Rehman stopped the said car. In the meantime the culprit started the firing on NH&MP Officers and tried to escape.

However, the NH&MP officers chased and arrest the culprit. During search a 30 Bore Pistol, Magazine and 14 alive rounds were recovered from his custody.

During interrogation the culprit namely Irfan s/o Ramzan resident of Lahore admitted that he had stolen the car from the Jurisdiction of Chong and tried to flee away in other snatched car from the driver Shujaat.

Later on the culprit along with recovered two vehicles and arm & ammunitions were handed over to the local Police of PS Pattoki for further legal action. The Sector Commander SSP Masroor Alam Kalachi appreciated the bravery and professionalism of patrolling officers.
