PU scholars select for summer school in Norway

Lahore: Punjab University Department of Zoology PhD scholars Zillay Mariam Sohail and Amber Shams have been selected to attend the Oslo Summer School 2015 after international selection competition.

The scholars have been working under the supervision of Department of Zoology Assistant Professor Dr Nadeem Sheikh. Around 180 students in total have been registered so far and confirmed for the summer school.

The vast majority of the students are from Scandinavian countries and the EU countries. Only a handful of students are from Brazil, Canada, USA, Singapore, South Africa, Pakistan and China. Zillay and Amber are the only two scholar selected from Pakistan this year to attend the summer course.

Chairman Department of Zoology Prof Dr Javed Iqbal Qazi lauded the scholars for being selected for the course and wished them all the best.
