CM suspends MS, DMS, AMS of District Headquarters Hospital and EDO Health, Layyah

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif paid surprise visit to Nawaz Sharif Hospital in Layyah after visiting flood-hit areas of Layyah.

While taking notice of non-availability of medical facilities and not making the hospital functional completely, the Chief Minister expressed his serious indignation. He reprimanded the concerned authorities and ordered to immediately suspend MS, DMS, AMS of District Headquarters Hospital and EDO Health, Layyah.

Shahbaz Sharif has sought a report from Chief Secretary and Secretary Health in this regard. He also ordered inquiry for not installing the machinery and not posting medical staff in the hospital.

The Chief Minister visited various sections of the hospital building and asked various questions from the authorities and on not receiving the reply, he reprimanded the concerned authorities. Shahbaz Sharif said that non-installation of machinery and non-posting of medical staff after constructing hospital building at a cost of Rs. 10 crore is a big question mark and tantamount to criminal negligence.
